Drawing Fundamentals

Curriculum:
Learning to draw geometric shapes and understanding their importance in sketching fruits and vegetables; mastering coloring basics and the color wheel; applying these skills to create art projects using various media; and drawing human faces, animals, birds, and surrounding natural elements—such as trees, plants, the sun, the moon, and stars.
Featuring Artist Nisreen Abdel-Halim
An animation director, visual artist, and children's program presenter, she holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Animation from the Higher Institute of Cinema at the Academy of Arts.
She currently teaches animation at the Faculty of Arts and Design at Al-Madina University in Cairo. Alongside her academic career, she possesses over 13 years of experience teaching animation, drawing fundamentals, and visual arts to children and youth through her artistic and educational initiative, "Simplifying Animation" (Tabseet Al-Rusoom Al-Mutaharrika). This initiative aims to utilize animation and visual arts as mediums for creative and educational expression.
She trained thousands of children, teaching them drawing, animation, and visual arts skills through workshops and educational lectures held in several cultural institutions, including the Sawy Cultural Center, the Russian Cultural Center, the Goethe Institute, and the Italian Cultural Institute.
She relied on academic curricula designed according to different age groups, aiming to develop children's visual and creative skills and enhance their ability to express their thoughts and feelings through art.
The educational programs were diverse, encompassing training in the use of various art materials, including colored pencils, watercolors, pastels, acrylics, and crafts, alongside the principles of composition, color, and drawing from imagination and nature. The programs also emphasized the use of art as a means to develop self-confidence, creative imagination, and teamwork skills in children.
